Manifestation Cannot Grow in Hard Soil

We often wonder why manifestation feels so difficult at times—why nothing moves, why no ideas come, why opportunities seem silent. And the truth is: nothing can grow in hard soil.

When soil is dry, compacted, and resistant, no seed can enter it, no roots can form. It is the same with our energy. When we are tight, resistant, and feeding lack, we close ourselves off to the very possibilities we are asking for. We are so soaked in our current reality that we can only keep recreating what we already have.

What I am describing here is the energetic equivalent of farming. Hard, dry, compacted soil can’t receive seeds—it resists. In the same way, when we’re tight, needy, or focused on lack, we’re in resistance. That energy only recycles the same experiences we already have, because it doesn’t leave room for new possibilities to take root.

Manifestation flows from openness, softness, and expansion—the fertile soil of ease, trust, and possibility. When you water the soil with gratitude, loosen it with joy, and let the sun of belief shine on it, then your seeds (intentions) naturally sprout.

I’ve lived through this truth.

Story One: Airbnb and Letting Go

A few years ago, I heard a quote that pierced my heart. It said: “If you don’t find a way to earn money while you are sleeping, you will work until the day you die.”

I was sitting in my room at the time, living in an apartment with people I didn’t like. I felt so trapped, so out of control. Honestly, it felt like being tied up—not with chains, but with a thread that kept winding around me until I was bound like a saucisson.

The more I resisted, the worse it became. I carried that tight, angry energy with me everywhere. I would scream. I would cry. And yet… nothing moved. No inspiration came. No solution. Even God seemed silent to my noise. I was living in agony.

Until one day—I gave up. I surrendered. I decided to stop fighting, to just trust. I could not take the pain anymore.

And in that moment of release, a memory came to me, a website I came across when I was looking for accommodations in Singapore: Airbnb.

And I had this light bulb moment, I remembered we have an empty family home. I opened my laptop, logged in to my old account, and listed the property.

It didn’t happen overnight—but after a few months, we got our first customer. And that opened a new flow of abundance.

Story Two: The Apartment That Became a Money Machine

The same energy showed up again last year, I was wondering how to finish building our two-bedroom apartment unit.

I didn’t want to use my salary. I didn’t want to touch my savings. And I did not want to approach my siblings just to hear them complain about their own responsibilities. I again was in the same tight spot. My thoughts were soaked in lack, and that’s all I could see.

But again—I shifted. I chose to let go and believe. I chose to trust. And within days, I came across a video a lady I was following on YouTube, inviting people to join an online tontine.

Now, maybe you’re wondering—what’s a tontine? Let me explain.

A tontine is a community savings system. Here’s how it works: a group of people comes together, and each person contributes a fixed amount of money every month. Then, one member of the group takes the full amount collected that month. The next month, another member receives it, and so on, until everyone has had their turn.

It’s powerful because it gives you access to a large sum of money at once without needing a bank loan, and without interest. It’s built on trust and community.

So, when I heard about it, I immediately thought—why not start my own? And that’s exactly what I did.

That small, inspired thought changed everything. The apartment was completed after 5 months. We rented it out.

And now, when I look back at my journal where I once scribbled the dream that our land would become a money-making machine, it makes me smile.

Because today, it is. Four tenants.  Besides the four shops we already had. A steady monthly income.

All because I shifted from hard soil to fertile ground—and because I allowed myself to see solutions that were already around me.

The Lesson

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Manifestation cannot be forced. It cannot be birthed from tightness, resistance, or lack. That energy only hardens the soil.

But when you loosen, when you soften, when you trust—you open space for seeds to root. And that’s when the magic happens.

So let me ask you:

👉 Where in your life does it feel hard right now?
👉 Where do you feel tight, resistant, frustrated, like nothing is moving?

Notice it. Because that’s the hard soil.

And then ask yourself: what would it look like if I loosened here? If I softened? If I trusted that life already has a solution waiting for me?

Because the truth is—you don’t need to scream. You don’t need to beg. You don’t need to fight your reality.

You just need to water your energy with gratitude, soften with surrender, and light it up with trust.

And when you do, life has no choice but to grow your dreams.

Reflection & Journaling Prompt

So, before we close, I want to leave you with something practical.

Take a few minutes after this episode, grab your journal, and ask yourself these questions:

  1. Where in my life does it feel hard right now?
  2. What thoughts or emotions are making the soil of this area tight and resistant?
  3. How can I soften here? What would loosening and trusting look like in this situation?
  4. What possibilities could open up if I let go of resistance and believe that the solution already exists?

Write it all out. Be honest. Don’t hold back. This is where the shift begins—when you can see where the soil is hard and choose to make it fertile again
